Homestead community association, pool, classes & programs

Definition of Homestead by Kat Ryan:

Home-stead: 1. n. the place where one's home is. 2. v. to acquire and settle on a homestead. 3. v. intr. Modern interpretation: homesteading: living a quieter and simpler lifestyle in contrast to city or urban dwellers.

 

Homestead Community Association at 315 Montford Avenue, is a non-profit association set up to enhance the lives of all neighbors. No HOA dues are charged for benefits including:

 

  • Community center, available for meetings and private events

  • Programs and events, such as music festivals, July 4th parade & picnic, winter holiday celebration

  • Summer kids' camp, Camp Funderblast, shown above

  • Use of Stolte Redwood Grove with picnic facilities

  • 80 acres of open space

  • Extensive hiking trails linking to the Dipsea Trail

  • Local artist series

  • Homestead Headlines, online community newsletter
