Hiking and Other Amenities
Pixie Trail in Spring from across the ValleyHomestead Valley offers many unique amenities to enjoy right in your own backyard. Take advantage of these neighborhood benefits to truly enhance your lifestyle One such scenic and recreational treasure the valley offers is Homestead Valley's wonderful Land Trust. It began in 1971 when visionaries Geoff Barrett, Mike Cann, Al Wuthnow and many other Homestead residents, bought 80 acres for public use, using a popular bond issue and county funds. Soon the Homestead Valley Land Trust was formed to manage these public lands - one of the first land trusts in the US. Today Homesteaders can contribute by joining the board or periodic work days to maintain the trails by helping to control invasive species. Enjoy this wonderful gift from earlier neighbors.
